2 Chainz – Based On a T.R.U. Story Album Release Party
The Coli made it’s presence felt at the 2 Chain album release party.
On Monday, August 6th, 2012 at the spacious Tree Sound Studios, I had a chance on behalf of The-Coli to attend the private dinner and listening party for the debut solo album ATL’s own 2 Chainz . Of course after a strong 1 year and a half of hearing 2 Chainz all over your radio, it was only right for the music industry elite of Dj’s, artists such as Neyo and Big Sean, bloggers, and label execs to come out in droves to support the Hometown Star.

It wasn’t an album release party, it was an album listening party and private dinner,

If you’re a huge fan of 2Chainz, this album is going to be for you, based on the tracks I heard, I’m not sure if it will win over new fans but it definitely will keep him in radio rotation for a while.
The event was held at Tree Sound Studios, which is located in Norcross, Georgia, far away from the packed city of Atlanta’s night clubs and shops. 2Chainz explained his reasoning for picking the studio, which he frequently records at, by saying “I wanted to pick a studio that allowed me to get away from the city, allowed me to focus on just the music, in a place that’s just very comfortable to me”..
The event was catered with Southern cuisine at it’s finest, however the food was for VIP members only, while the “media crowd” awaited in the stage area until the event started..That didn’t stop me from getting inside the food area with the VIPs.

to all the sexy ladies in the building. This is something I’ve learned about the music industry..There is a different level of female beauty at high end music industry events, and I can’t wait to see more
The evening wasn’t without is funny moments. 2Chainz realizing that the room was full of people carrying recording devices became aware of the potential for some of the music he was playing to be leaked by today. He later on made the decision to only play snippets of the album to the crowded room.
2 Chainz’s much anticipated debut studio album, Based On A T.R.U. Story is slated to hit stores August 14th, 2012.
