Soundscan Report 7/11/2012
Back from the long July 4th break with the Soundscan Report for the week ending July 11th, 2012.
Starting with the Top 200;
Chris Brown made waves at the #1 spot with “Fortune”, selling 134k in his first week of release
Justin Bieber’s “Believe” is at #3 with 69k sold this week coasting to a 559k total.
Maybach Music Group’s “Self Made 2″ (which debuted as the top Rap/Hip Hop album last week at 94k sold) has already close to coasting past the overall total of last years compilation. even with a 64% drop it sold 34k this week, and has 132k total sales.
Flo Rida’s “Wild Ones” album debuts at #14 and sold 30k. This may be disappointing, but surely those Digital/Single sales soften the blow.
Usher’s “Looking For Myself” is one spot below Flo Rida also selling around 30k this week. 242k total.
R. Kelly’s “Write Me Back” suffers a 64% drop — 24k this week and 92k total.
BOB’s “Strange Clouds” had a massive jump from 56 -> 26 selling 19k this week 191k total.
Drake “Take Care” also had a similar jump from 53 -> 34 selling 14k. The album is currently at 1.8 million sold passing “Thank Me Later” sales total.
Nicki Minaj “Pink Friday Reloaded” is nearly out of the top 50 selling 11k this week to bring the album to a 568k total.
**Stray Notes From The Top 200**
#70 Big K.R.I.T. – Live From the Underground: 6k this week, 71k total
#86 Waka Flocka Flame – Triple F Life (30% drop): 5k this week, 61k total
#109 Tyga – Carless World: 4k this week, 261k total
#110 Future – Pluto: 4k this week, 119k total
***Digital Singles top 200***
Overall the Top 10 of course remains untouched (Carly Rae Jepsen at the top, everyone else fighting for scraps)
“Mercy” holds the distinction of being the rare hip hop song close to breaking into the top ten at #15, it sold 83k this week and is at 1.1 million total.
Wiz Khalifa “Work Hard” has staggered a bit since going gold. 53k this week, 783k total. I think its time for a new single.
DJ Khaled/Kanye/Rick Ross “I Wish You Would” debuts strong at #35 with 52k. One thing you cant deny about Khaled, his singles have legs and this should be no different considering the names on it.
2Chainz/Drake “No Lie” is at #43 with 44k sold this week. it currently sits at 402k total. With a new single looming, the song has grown on radio and digital in the past few weeks and is close to gold.
Cash Out “Cashin Out” is at #46 with 40k sold this week and 454k sold total.
Nicki Minaj/2Chainz “Beez In The Trap” is at #52 with 37k sold this week and is one week away from gold with a 490k total.
Eminem “Til I Collapse” has seen a resurgence in the charts, selling 33k this week with 2.1million sold total. Fan Dedication or great movie tie in? You decide.

Drake “The Motto” (#71) wont die — it sold 28k this week and is at 2.5mil sold total.
Driicky Graham “Snapbacks & Tattoos” (#75) has become a young teen favorite is gaining ground with 28k sold this week. 242k sold total
Tyga “Faded” (#89) is close to platinum (953k total) selling 23k this week. His singles from “Careless World” have gond Gold or better.
Kirko Bangz “Drank In My Cup” (#97) has wavered a bit. 24k this week, 730k total.
Meek Mill/Drake “Amen” (#123) – 71k total
Rick Ross “So Sophisticated” (#165) – 85k total
Frank Ocean (Re-entering the top 200 this week) “Thinkin Bout You” – 151k total, 12k this week
French Montana “Pop That” – 50k total.
